Organic (EU, JAS, USDA, AB, BS, NL)

As the availability of organic food increases, many governments have set out guidelines to ensure the genuineness of the ‘organic’ claim. These guidelines are stipulated in the different certification requirements of various programs per country.

EU Organic
The EEC Regulations Nos. 834/2007 and 889/2008 are in force within the European Union countries, but also set criteria for importing organic products from outside the EU.

JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standards)
Production rules for organic production according to Japanese requirements have been laid down in the Japanese Agricultural Standards. The regulations are in force within Japan, but also set criteria for importing organic products to Japan.

USDA/NOP
Rules for organic production according to U.S. Standards have been laid down in the National Organic Program (NOP) of the United States Department of Agriculture.

AB
Although the AB logo no longer represents any formal certification system, it is possible to export to France using the AB logo on your certified organic product.
