Facilitating Food Aid

Peterson Control Union is approved or mandated by numerous organisations to provide control and supervision services related to food aid.

Organisations for whom we work include the USDA Commodity Credit Corporation, the U.S.Agency for International Development, the Catholic Relief Organization, the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, the World Food Program and the European Commission Joint Relex Service.  In addition, Peterson Control Union conducts inspections all over the world on behalf of various private voluntary organisations.

Superintending Cargo Flows

In the case of food aid cargoes, Peterson Control Union not only inspects goods at ports of discharge and inland destinations, we "superintend the cargo flow", too. To this end, we endeavor to identify and mitigate any damage "on the spot" so that further damage to goods is prevented. In addition, Control Union provides customers with full support by liaising with the ocean carriers, freight forwarders, vessel agents, inland carriers and warehouse personnel.
