RFVS – Responsible Fishing Vessel Standard
Control Union offers Responsible Fishing Vessel Standard (RFVS) certification, a fishing vessel-based program certifying high standards of vessels management and safety systems including crew rights, safety and well being. It is one of the few vessel level certification program available on a global scale.
Community Catch
Community Catch is a certification programme supporting responsible small-scale fisheries and the communities that depend on them. Control Union provides independent third-party assessment to verify sustainable practices, traceability, and positive community impact.
FISH Standard for Crew
The FISH Standard for Crew is a vessel-level certification programme promoting fair working conditions, crew welfare, and responsible labour practices in wild-capture fisheries. Control Union provides independent third-party assessment to verify compliance with the standard.
CSI – Certified Seafood International
CSI (Certified Seafood International) certification for wild-capture fisheries and supply chains. Control Union provides independent Fishery and Chain of Custody audits.
MSC – Marine Stewardship Council
The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) fisheries and MSC Chain of Custody (CoC) standards help companies and organisations to promote and identify wild caught fish as sustainable and well managed. Control Union Peru is accredited by ASI (Accreditation Services International) for the ASC and MSC CoC programs. Control Union UK is accredited by ASI (Accreditation Services International) for MSC Fisheries assessments and MSC / ASC CoC audit programs.
GLOBALG.A.P. – Aquaculture base, Chain of Custody
Responsible and sustainable fishery has become one of the vital issues during the past decades. Inadequate and improper fishery practices are threatening the long-term viability of many ocean ecosystems. Control Union Certifications BV is accredited by RVA for this scheme under registration nr. RvA-C412 Products. The scope includes the critical office in Peru.
FOS – Friend of the Sea
Friend of the Sea Certification gives the public reassurance that fish products originating from a fisheries are managed in a responsible and sustainable way – something that is becoming critical.
ASC – Aquaculture Stewardship Council
The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), fisheries and ASC Chain of Custody (CoC) standards help companies and organisations to promote and identify farm grown fish as having been responsibly produced. The CoC certification process covers fish from ‘farm to plate’ to ensure traceability for all products. Control Union Services is accredited by ASI (Accreditation Services International) for the ASC and ASC CoC program.
