Organic agriculture & certification

Control Union offers certification for a wide range of organic standards, including the Philippine National Standard (PNS), USDA-NOP Organic Regulation (US), Japanese Organic Regulation (JAS), EU Regulation EEC No. 834/2007 on Organic Production, Naturland (German Organic), EFAPA and FIPA (Korea), and China Organic. With over 20 years of experience, Control Union is a trusted partner in the organic industry, offering a streamlined, cost-effective certification process. Our one-stop-shop approach and multi-trained auditors simplify the journey, helping you achieve and maintain your certifications efficiently while meeting global sustainability challenges. PNS – Philippine National Standards

The Philippines National Standards on Organic Agriculture (PNS-OA) and on Organic Soil Amendments (PNS-OSA) aim to provide an uniform approach to the requirements of crop production, processing, production of soil amendments, labelling and consumer information. Control Union Certifications (CUC) is the only international certification body accredited for PNS-OA and the PNS-OSA by the Philippines’ Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Agriculture And Fisheries Standards (DA-BAFS).

GLOBALG.A.P.

The GLOBALG.A.P. standard promotes good agricultural practices by minimizing environmental impact, reducing chemical use, and ensuring responsible worker and animal welfare. As an internationally recognized certification, GLOBALG.A.P. reassures consumers that food is produced safely and sustainably. Accredited by RVA, Control Union Certifications BV provides comprehensive GLOBALG.A.P. certification services, helping producers meet stringent standards and additional modules like GRASP and Integrated Farm Assurance for various agricultural sectors.

Control Union offers SMETA (Sedex Member Ethical Trade Audit) assessments, designed to streamline social audit standards and improve labor practices in supply chains. Developed by Sedex, a leading ethical trade service provider, SMETA audits evaluate labor, health and safety, environmental practices, and ethical conduct, providing a Corrective Action Plan to enhance performance. As an Affiliate Audit Company (AAC) of Sedex, Control Union helps businesses increase their visibility, prioritize risks, and improve supplier performance while ensuring compliance with global standards.

GSTC – Global Sustainable Tourism Council

The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) is a leading non-governmental organization, established in 2007 with the support of UNEP and UNWTO, to promote sustainability and social responsibility in the tourism sector. GSTC sets the global standard for sustainable tourism and is similar to frameworks like MSC and FSC that offer third-party certification for tourism businesses and destinations.

BRCGS specify what is required by organisations as well as help provide assurance to customers that products have been manufactured and handles in accordance with the highest, internationally recognized standards for food safety and quality. Control Union Certifications BV is only accredited for four of the Standard – Food Safety, Packaging materials, Agents & Brokers, and Storage & Distribution by RVA under registration nr. RvA-C412 Products.
