Nicolaas Jan (Koos) Dijkstra
Deputy Head of Mission/Head of Trade and Development, Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands in Bangladesh
Koos Dijkstra currently serves as Deputy Head of Mission and Head of Trade and Development at the Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands in Bangladesh. Until August 2025, he was Deputy Head of the Sustainable Production and Trade Division, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague. Koos Dijkstra has served over 27 years in the Ministry, in both advisory and management positions in various policy areas, ranging from Development to Trade, Energy, Security, European Integration and Finance. He served in Embassies of the Kingdom of The Netherlands in Germany and Ethiopia, and he was seconded to the Ministry of Economic Affairs in the Netherlands and the OSCE Mission in Kosovo. Before joining the Ministry he worked for several NGO’s in the Netherlands, Nigeria and Ecuador. Koos Dijkstra holds a MSc in business economics. He is married and has two children.
Dirk Teichert
Regional Chair, Control Union Asia Pacific
Dirk Teichert, originally from Denmark, began his career in sales and marketing before joining Control Union in 1997 as a surveyor—a role that marked his entry into the Testing, Inspection, and Certification industry. Over the years, he has held various management positions and was appointed Regional Manager for Asia Pacific (APAC) in 2009, where his strategic leadership and focus on operational excellence have driven significant growth across the region.

Since 2020, Dirk has been part of the group management team, continuing to oversee APAC operations while also managing global activities under the inspections team. His career reflects a strong commitment to quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the organization.
Dr. Binay Kumar Choudhury
Regional Technical Lead, Control Union Asia Pacific
Dr. Binay Kumar Choudhury is the Regional Technical Lead – APAC at Control Union and Chairman of the Centre of Excellence – Textile Team. With a Ph.D. in Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry focused on pesticide residue analysis, he began his career in 2001 as Technical Manager and Head of the Regional Centre for Food Research and Analytical Centre in Bangalore. His career spans decades of research, technical management, and scientific leadership in sustainable agriculture and textile certification.

He has received multiple national and international research fellowships and advises various organizations in sustainability and certification. With extensive field experience, Dr. Choudhury has audited over 500 farms and 1,000 textile projects globally, with a particular emphasis on organic cotton and sustainable production systems.
Fakhrul Islam Khan
Managing Director, Control Union Bangladesh
Working with Control Union for over 18 years, Fakhrul has more than 23 years of experience in the field of textile merchandising, social compliance, auditing and certification. He has industry knowledge and practical expertise. Over the years, he has played a key role not just in Bangladesh but also globally. He is an active member of the Control Union Global Expert Team. Currently, he leads the Development Team within that group, driving progress in areas such as new standard development.
Yash Bari
Head of Certifications, Control Union India
Yash Bari is the Head of Certifications – India and Technical Manager – Centre of Excellence (Asia), with over 15 years of experience in the textile and sustainability certification sector. He leads certification operations across India and provides technical oversight for sustainable textile standards throughout Asia.

Yash holds extensive expertise in standards such as GOTS, Textile Exchange, and other global sustainability frameworks. His responsibilities include managing accreditations across the region, ensuring technical integrity, and supporting brands and supply chain partners in implementing credible and traceable certification systems. He is also actively involved in technical training, auditor development, and capacity-building initiatives to strengthen sustainable practices across the textile value chain.
Rajesh Dubey, Ph.D.
Asia Regional Representative for regenagri
Rajesh Dubey, Ph.D. is a sustainability and social development specialist with over 26 years of experience across Asia. He has worked with leading multilateral agencies such as DFID, USAID, and IFC, and collaborated with global corporations including Unilever, Nestlé, and Tata Global Beverages. His expertise spans voluntary sustainability standards like Rainforest Alliance, Bonsucro, 4C, and the Code of Responsible Extraction (CORE), which he helped develop and implement in industrial supply chains.

Currently, Rajesh serves as the Regional Representative for Asia at regenagri, UK, where he promotes regenerative agriculture across crops such as tea, coffee, cotton, sugarcane, soy, palm oil, and rubber in countries including India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand. He also contributes to national policy as a member of the Coffee Board of India’s Core Technical Committee.
Mr. Inamul Haq Khan
Senior Vice President, BGMEA & Managing Director, Ananta Garments Ltd.
Inamul Haq Khan, after completion his studies at Rajshahi Cadet College, Marine Academy in Chittagong and in UK, started his career as a Marine Engineer. He served Bangladesh Shipping Corporation for 14 years and retired as Chief Engineer.
Mr. Khan joined business in 1991 as Managing Director in Ananta Paper Mills and today he is the Managing Director of Ananta Garments Ltd., Ananta Sportswear Ltd., Ananta Jeanswear Ltd., ABM Fashions Ltd., Tunic Fashions Ltd., Ananta Leather Collection Ltd., Paradise Washing Plant Ltd., Thread & Thread Industries Ltd., Confidence Industries Ltd. and employs 16000 workforce with the export of more than 100 million USD per year. He was selected CIP three times by the Government of Bangladesh and became the Director of BGMEA for several terms.
Besides being a business person, Mr. Inamul Haq Khan is also a sports personality and played National Table Tennis 1st Division League in 1974-1975 and again from 2002 to 2004. He was 7 times champion of ORCA Table Tennis Tournament and also the champion of all Cadet College Club Table Tennis Tournament 2012.
Nachiketa Mahanty
Traceability Supply Chain Manager at BCI
Nachiketa Mahanty works as the Traceability Supply Chain Manager at BCI and is based in New Delhi, India. He is responsible for supply chain and traceability operations in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. One of his key responsibilities is leading the trainings imparted to suppliers on how to source BCI cotton through Mass Balance and Physical Traceability models, while also motivating supply chain actors to adopt BCI certification.

He has strong expertise in supply chain transparency, sustainability, and digital traceability systems. With this background, Nachiketa plays an important role in leading traceability efforts across BCI’s complex supply chains. His work involves using digital tools and data-driven strategies to improve accountability, compliance, and ethical sourcing in global supply chains. Nachiketa is passionate about fostering collaboration among stakeholders to build resilient and responsible supply systems.
Md. Jubaer Hasan
Certifier, Control Union Bangladesh
Md. Jubaer Hasan is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of industry experience and 7 years of specialized work in Control Union, currently leading the GOTS, Textile Exchange, and FSC operations at Control Union Bangladesh. His expertise spans across sustainability and compliance standards, including GOTS, Textile Exchange standards, Higg FEM, SA8000, ISO 14001:2015, and FSC Chain of Custody, making him a key figure in driving credible certification practices in the region.

With a strong foundation in both technical and operational aspects of certification, Jubaer Hasan ensures the integrity and traceability of sustainable textile and forestry standards. He plays a pivotal role in managing audits, supporting supply chain partners, Internal/External capacity building and maintaining accreditation requirements.
Auyan Biswas
Manager – Certifications (Non-Textile) at Control Union
Auyan Biswas is a dedicated Manager – Certifications (Non-Textile) at Control Union, specializing in Sustainable Product Certification, Quality Assurance, QMS, Compliance & Sustainable Product Professional.

With over 18 years of extensive experience in textile sustainability assurance and inspection across various industries, Auyan was an accredited Lead Auditor for numerous standards, including GOTS, GRS, OCS, RCS, ISO 9001, and ISO 22716. In his current role, he oversees non-textile certification operations (agriculture, food safety, management system, regenagri, SRCCS, BCI). He also develops global support programs for initiatives like Better Cotton and manages internal training academies. Auyan is committed to fostering transparency and integrity within global supply chains.
Naveen Kumar Singh
Business Development Manager – Textile (Asia) at Control Union
Naveen Kumar Singh has 16 years of experience in the textile value chain, including 12 years in Techno-Commercial roles within the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry.

As Business Development Manager – Textile (Asia) at Control Union, he works with global teams to promote innovations in the textile Value Chain. Naveen’s key focus area is on simplifying certification through practical digital solutions, using client feedback to improve processes and support ICU’s development team in delivering efficient, client-focused transformation on the ICU platform.
Md. Nizam Uddin
Coordinator- Industrial Inspections (Bangladesh)
Md. Nizam Uddin is an accomplished Mechanical Engineer with around 10 years of experience in Industrial & Environmental Services across Bangladesh’s major industrial sectors, transforming technical expertise into business excellence and leading nationwide business operations. His impactful roles at Qtex Solutions, Sungrow, and SGS Bangladesh strengthened his local and international exposure. He specializes in safety assessments, energy audits, and comprehensive industrial and environmental testing, including electrical safety, lifting equipment inspections, pressure system integrity, and environmental assessment. His work advances sustainability through energy-saving feasibility studies, with contributions to solar, infrastructure, manufacturing, and utility projects, backed by globally recognized certifications and government approvals.
