As a Social Compliance Auditor, you will be responsible for the application of social regulatory requirements and principles against established standards and protocols. The position requires strong communication. You will be initiating and conducting on-site audit activities at our clients. You will be responsible for the document review as well as preparing and distributing your audit findings in an audit report.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  •  Auditing: Assessing the conformity of operations against established international standards and regulations by visiting clients on-site and examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation
  • Document review
  • Preparing and conducting all on-site audit activities
  • Preparing, approving and distributing the audit report
  • Ensuring audits reports and documents are submitted on time and review it for its completeness
  • Conducting audit follow-up
  • Maintaining good relationship with the clients
  • Maintaining contact with the Certifier (Certification Manager) on regular basis
  • Assisting with handling of claims and appeals
  • Assisting in generating business leads for the entire gamut of Social Programmes (SA 8000, SMETA, URSA, ETI, Buyer’s COC)
  • Provide inputs to perform market analysis for the industry and identify new opportunities (markets, service, clients)
  • Provide inputs to develop marketing and sales strategy to improve service awareness and enhanced CU brand proposition
  • Keeping upbreast of all the related Certifications Programmes offered by the company as well as any market innovation
  • Keeping abreast of developments, issues and legislative changes pertaining to related industry sectors

 

Requirements

  • Graduate in any discipline (Agriculture/ Textile would be advantageous)
  • Must be APSCA Qualified (Part I or II)
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in conducting social audits in Textile, Food, Packaging and Paper Industries
  • SA8000 Advanced Lead Auditor Training, accredited by the SAAS course accreditation program is mandatory
  • Understanding of SMETA guidelines, best practice and Social Audit terminology, and how to apply them
  • IRCA certified Lead Auditor for Social auditing skills would be preferred
  • IRCA certified Lead Auditor for QMS & EMS would be an added advantage
  • Experience and knowledge of national and international laws, including ILO conventions and industry practices
  • Knowledge of Human resources management systems
  • Good command of English in speech and in writing
  • Good presentation skills
  • Resourceful, fast learner with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Willingness to travel extensively anywhere in the country
