Program Manager – Food & Feed Safety Certifications

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Control Union (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., at Klang, Malaysia for PROGRAM MANAGER – FOOD & FEED SAFETY CERTIFICATIONS.

As a Program Manager – Food & Feed Safety Certifications, you will manage certification programs with confidence, impartiality, and a strong focus on risk and compliance.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, while keeping management informed of market opportunities and risks.
• Manage accreditations and maintain regular contact with accreditation bodies.
• Plan, prepare, and execute assessments in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Initiate assessments and conduct document reviews.
• Prepare for and conduct on-site assessment activities.
• Prepare, approve, and distribute assessment reports, including findings on conformity.
• Conduct assessment follow-up activities.
• Assist with the handling of claims and appeals.
• Maintain up-to-date records of quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and documentation issued by CUC.
• Stay informed on sector developments, emerging issues, and relevant legislative changes.
• Carry out other ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the food industry (Production, Quality, or R&D).
• Previous experience with certification bodies, either as a Lead Auditor or Program Manager, will be an added advantage.
• IRCA or equivalent recognized Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 9001/ISO 22000 and Lead Auditor qualification in FSSC 22000/BRCGS/HACCP is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety management systems and certification processes is an advantage.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Strong interviewing and report-writing skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally.
