RWS/RMS/CCS Farm Auditor (South Africa)
Core Description
The position entails conducting wool and mohair audits on farms to assess whether clients/farms are adhering to standard requirements (RWS/RMS Standard & CCS – Content Claim Standard).
Responsibilities
- As per ISO19011 requirements; planning and preparation of assessments, execution of assessments/audits and to provide a report with findings as to the conformity with all the requirements.
- Initiating the assessment/audit.
- Conducting document review.
- Preparing for the on-site assessment/audit activities.
- Conducting on-site assessment/audit activities.
- Completion & uploading of documents within set timelines.
- Preparing, approving and distributing the assessment/audit report.
- Conducting assessment follow-up.
- Assistance with handling of claims and appeals.
- Maintaining up to date files of all quality policies, procedures, working instructions and documentation issued by Control Union SA.
- Maintaining a professional relationship with clients.
- Informing the management of challenges, and threats in the market.
- Clear and regular communication with clients.
- Maintaining contact with the certifier on regular basis.
- Keeping abreast of developments, issues and legislative changes pertaining to the sectors in which assessments/audits are carried out.
Qualifications and Experience:
- (1) tertiary education (college/university qualification) in a relevant discipline and two years relevant professional experience; or (2) secondary education (high school diploma) and four years of relevant professional experience (animal welfare experience).
- CCS (Content Claim Standard) experience and training will be beneficial.
- Computer literate (MS Office, Outlook).
- English & Afrikaans; spoken & written.
- Good communication skills.
Requirements
- Own transport & Drivers’ licence.
- South African ID and Passport.
- Travel to audit sites nationally and possibly internationally.
- Reliable and fast internet connection at home office.
