PPRS – Plastic Pollution Reduction Standard
The Plastic Pollution Reduction Standard (PPRS) provides a framework for the implementation of a credible and verifiable plastic offsetting program. The comprehensive approach means the network of partners provides a safe and transparent system of physically collecting, transporting, and processing plastic waste to prevent leakage into nature.
GRS – Global Recycled Standard
The GRS is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions. Control Union Certifications BV is accredited by SLAB for this scheme under registration nr. CP 004-01.
RCS Blended – Recycled Claim Standard
The RCS (Recycled Claim Standard) is used as a chain of custody standard to track recycled raw materials through the supply chain. Control Union Certifications BV is accredited by SLAB for this scheme under registration nr. CP 004-01.

RPM – Responsible Plastic Management
Responsible Plastic Management (RPM) is a not-for-profit social enterprise formed in 2019 to support businesses in their plastic waste management efforts. Control Union is an approved certification body for the RPM Trust Mark.
Plastic Waste Reduction Program – Plastic Project Validation and Verification
Less than 10% of the 350 million tonnes of plastic used each year is currently being recycled. The Plastic Waste Reduction Program – recently launched by standard-setter Verra – aims to support and scale up activities that increase plastic waste recycling and/or collection from the environment. Control Union is an approved Validation and Verification Body (VVB).
ISCC PLUS
ISCC Plus is a thorough basis for the voluntary implementation of sustainability criteria in supply chains which are similar to the EU RED. Companies with an existing ISCC-EU certificate are able to extend to ISCC PLUS during the certificate validity period and benefit this way from the additional possibilities an ISCC PLUS certification offers in market applications outside the EU fuel market.
