This 2-day course on Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls (HARPC) will provide a comprehensive understanding of the requirements outlined in both the BRCGS Standard for Food Safety and the Food Safety Modernization Act’s (FSMA) Preventive Controls rule. It will explore the similarities and differences between these two frameworks.

The HARPC plan forms the foundation of a food manufacturing site’s entire food safety program, encompassing a broader scope of food safety assessment and control compared to a traditional Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan.

Gain an understanding of how the BRCGS Standard for Food Safety aligns with the FSMA’s Preventive Controls rule

Be able to explain the BRCGS Standards and the HARPC requirements for the development and management of a food safety plan.
