Software Engineer (Full-Stack/ Front End/ Back End)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Control Union Inspections (Pvt.) Ltd. at Colombo, Sri Lanka for SOFTWARE ENGINEER (FULL-STACK/ FRONT END/ BACK END).

As a Software Engineer (Full-Stack / Front End / Back End) you will be responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java/Spring Boot for backend services and Angular for frontend interfaces
• Design and implement microservices with Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and Docker for containerization
• Write clean, maintainable code adhering to industry best practices and security standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions on time
• Troubleshoot and debug applications, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
• Document technical processes and mentor junior developers in modern frameworks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Proficiency in Java (core concepts, OOP, and design patterns)
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot for building RESTful APIs and microservices
• Strong understanding of Angular for frontend development (components, services, and routing)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure), Kubernetes, and Docker is a plus
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and API integrations
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in teams
• Excellent command of written/spoken English and agile development practices
