Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS)
The Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS) is voluntary program designed to independently assess and certify the sustainable management of natural forests and forest plantations. In 2009, MTCS becoming the first tropical timber certification scheme in the region to be endorsed by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

About the scheme
The Certificate for Forest Management is granted to Forest Management Units (FMUs) that meet the requirements of the forest management standard. This certification signifies their adherence to sustainable forestry practices.
Accreditation
Control Union Malaysia Sdn Bhd has received accreditation from the Department of Standards Malaysia for the forest plantations and natural forest scopes of MTCS MC&I SFM 1/2020 under registration number ACB 0031.
