Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent Organic Auditor to join our team. As an Organic Auditor, you will play a crucial role in verifying compliance with organic standards and regulations through thorough auditing of organic farms, processing facilities, and handling operations. Candidates should possess a strong willingness to travel, and having their own reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct on-site audits of organic farms, processing facilities, and handling operations to verify compliance with organic standards and regulations.
• Collect samples for laboratory analysis as required by organic certification standards.
• Prepare detailed audit reports documenting findings, observations, and recommendations.
• Stay updated on relevant organic standards, regulations, and industry developments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in organic certification and auditing, will be an advantage, but not a requirement.
• Knowledge of organic standards and regulations, including NOP (National Organic Program) and EU organic regulations, will be an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively in Afrikaans and English.
• Excellent written communication skills are essential for this role. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in producing clear, concise, and engaging written content.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and resources, demonstrating autonomy and initiative in your auditing activities.
