Quality Assurance Officer - Commodity Inspections

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Commodity Inspections at Navi Mumbai, India for QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER – COMMODITY INSPECTIONS.

As the Quality Assurance Officer you would be responsible and authorised to ensure that processes and procedures needed for the management system are established, implemented and maintained, and that performance of the management system and any need for improvement is reported to management.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Assist in planning and execution of internal audits and processing the findings of the same
• Active participation for preparation of external (accreditation) audits
• Assist in planning, preparation and participation of the management review
• Maintain and implement accreditation requirements as per ISO 17020 & ISO 17025
• Register, investigate (root cause analysis, corrective action, preventive action, extent analysis), and follow-up of complaints & internal/external audit findings
• Implement and monitor compliance of corrective actions
• Assist addressing claims and appeals
• Assist in establishing, implementing and maintaining of processes and procedures in the Quality Manual
• Assist in establishing qualification criteria as per ISO 17020 & ISO 17025 and industry standards and ensuring competency of employees is maintained in compliance to the same
• Lead and drive trainings and guidance for employees on quality assurance processes and best practices to ensure consistent quality
• Report to General Manager about the functioning of Quality Management System
• Report established quality control points and KPIs to Management on monthly basis

Requirements

• Graduate in Science
• Minimum 2 years’ experience of ISO 17020 & ISO 17025 in TIC or related industry
• Certificate course of LA ISO 9001/ Awareness course of ISO 17020 would be preferable
• Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques
• Working experience and knowledge of ISO 17020 & ISO 17025 and applicable ASI documentation
• Excellent command of English spoken and written
• Knowledge of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Knowledge of commodity inspections
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Resourceful, fast learner with strong interpersonal, problem-solving skills
• Proficient with MS Office
• Experience of working with diverse teams
